Attitudes are Contagious...Is your's worth catching?

How is your attitude? Is it a whiny one? grumpy? short-tempered? complaining? Joyful? delightful? happy? and the list goes on. Take a reality check and answer it yourself.

Did you know that whatever attitude we bring into a situation it will be multiplied?

Think about how Jonah from the Bible brought an attitude of disobedience and almost caused a whole ship full of people to sink. On the other hand, the little boy listening to Jesus on a mountainside generously brought loaves and fishes and they were multiplied enough to feed thousands.

It’s the same with us. If we bring a poor  attitude into our day, it doesn’t take long for everyone else to start acting a little poor and sulky. In our office, home, school, anywhere if I bring a tense approach to a meeting, place, family, peers it doesn’t take long for everyone else to start feeling tense. In a friendship, if I bring a defensive and edgy response, it doesn’t take long for my friend to get defensive and on edge.

I feel sure you’ve probably seen this in your own life too.

Let’s be sure we’re bringing an attitude worth being multiplied into this day.
An attitude of hope.
An attitude of love.
 An attitude of humility and
An attitude of gratitude.
An attitude of joy.

Philippians 4:8-9 "Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things. What you have learned and received and heard and seen in me—practice these things, and the God of peace will be with you."

Yes, our attitude does affect those around us. We must try to be more conscious of our attitude so that we may glorify the Lord. Amen. Stay blessed.
