The Lord is my Shepherd

I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd lays down his life for the sheep. — John 10:11

Jesus paved the way for us to enter into the most amazing pasture of all: the very presence of the living God. He laid down his life as our Good Shepherd that we might eat of the fruit of his death and resurrection. But God didn’t only lead us to heaven; he continually leads us as our Good Shepherd day in and day out.

The Lord longs to guide you today. What trouble is before you? Where do you need guidance? Where do you need help? God promises to be your Good Shepherd. You have the most high God on your side. You can trust in his leadership. Jesus was faithful to come and die so that you might have eternal life. If he was faithful to lead you to heaven, he will certainly lead you through whatever trial you are going through now. Our God is a trustworthy Shepherd. Enter into prayer with expectancy that he will guide you perfectly and in his perfect timing. Cast your cares on him and trust him. Allow him to “make straight your paths” as you follow the leadership of the Holy Spirit.

“Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths”  - Proverbs 3:5-6

The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters.  He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake.  Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.  Thou prepare a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the Lord for ever. - Psalm 23

PRAYER:

Dear Lord,

Thank you for being my guide, my way, the truth and the life.  Your staff comfort me. Lead me daily to the plans you have before me. Thank you for your continuous protection over my life. Help me to be in your will forever. I am so glad you are my shepherd. Bless me and fill me with your compassion, peace and joy. I love you and I trust you Lord. In Jesus name, Amen.
