John 1:18
“No one has seen God at any time. The only begotten Son, who is in the bosom of the Father, he has declared him.”)
Exodus 33:19–23 ESV - (Moses encounter with God)
19 And he said, “I will make all my goodness pass before you and will proclaim before you my name ‘The Lord.’ And I will be gracious to whom I will be gracious, and will show mercy on whom I will show mercy. 20 But,” he said, “you cannot see my face, for man shall not see me and live.” 21 And the Lord said, “Behold, there is a place by me where you shall stand on the rock, 22 and while my glory passes by I will put you in a cleft of the rock, and I will cover you with my hand until I have passed by. 23 Then I will take away my hand, and you shall see my back, but my face shall not be seen."
ENCOURAGING WORD:
Stand Strong and Face

“The eyes of the Lord are on those who fear him, on those whose hope is in his unfailing love” - (Psalm 33:18).

Thoughts for Today

One of our initial and natural responses to difficulty is to look for an immediate solution. We do not like tension and pressure in relationships and when attempts to bring about resolution fail, we often run, abandoning the problem and situation altogether.

Our reaction to difficulty is a proving ground for our faith. Does our faith rest in our ability to resolve situations on our own? If we run, the answer is there for the world to see, no matter how adamantly we proclaim our faith in God with our mouths. Does our faith rest in God alone? If we determine to stand strong and face whatever the world brings in our direction, the answer is there for the world to see as well.

While God may not cause the difficulty in our lives, He certainly uses it to mature us. He shapes and fashions us more into His image as we learn to trust Him more. And it is in these times of testing that God begins to refine our hearts in new ways.

Running from the trials and tribulations in our lives in an attempt to escape the difficulty carries some harsh consequences: We may escape the testing, but we will also escape God’s blessing.

God enjoys rewarding His children with blessings from heaven. But no reward comes without personal sacrifice. Are you willing to take the challenge?

Prayer: Our Loving Heavenly Father, give me the strength to face every challenge I experience today. Thank you for hearing and answering my prayer. Gratefully, In Jesus Loving Name I Pray, Amen."
