Sunday Blessings - Your willing obedience is a big matter to the Lord.

He raises the poor from the dust and lifts the needy from the ash heap; - Psalm 113:7

We can see that this bible verse is true in Naomi and Ruth' life. Both were widowed and they returned to Bethlehem. Ruth went to the fields to glean to support her mother-in-law and herself. As it happened, the field belonged to a man named Boaz, who was kind to her because he had heard of her loyalty to her mother-in-law.

She felt a deep conviction that she was to stay with Naomi. And she followed that conviction. Ruth could have allowed her questions and doubt to influence her to leave Naomi. But instead her heart came to grips with what she believed. She moved from the agony of questions she could not answer to the reality of answers she could not escape.

A service heart. A humbled attitude. She kept low and did her best to help Naomi being loyal to her. Ruth went from being a foreigner to being someone who was respected, blessed, and honored.

Remember, to be Humble and Keep Working as God Blesses You. Scripture says she worked hard before Boaz invited her to eat with him. When God grants you favor as a leader to serve and you receive His blessings, don’t let it go to your head and don’t let up. Keep working. When you have favor and momentum, push ahead. At that time, bless those around you.

Today, God is calling you to serve him where ever you at. Your willing obedience is a big matter to the Lord.

Let's Pray:

Dear Heavenly Father,

Thank you for this day. Bless me to be in your will. Bless me to serve you with all my heart, soul and mind. Thank you Lord. In Jesus name, Amen.
