Jehovah-Rapha is our restorer. He is our healer of not only physical illness, but of the hurts in our heart and soul. In the book of Exodus 15:26, our God introduces His name as Jehovah-Rapha, “the Lord who Heals.” The word Rapha means "to heal, to cure, to restore." He does not promise to heal us only in an isolated instance of illness or need. Rather, God says He is healing. By calling Himself Jehovah-Rapha, He is saying, "Healing is what I am." He wants you to give it all to him, one must actively cause the letting go; it doesn’t just happen out of the blue. When you are still with the Lord, His presence is felt. His whispers are heard. We can rest assured in His care. We will find His peace and joy. He will remind us that we are not alone. We will feel His might and power. His sovereignty will reign forever and ever.
