Monday Morning Blessings!

The Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves the crushed in spirit. - Psalm 34:18

Vance Havner once said, "God uses broken things. It takes broken soil to produce a crop, broken clouds to give rain, broken grain to give bread, broken bread to give strength. It is the broken alabaster box that gives forth perfume . . . it is Peter, weeping bitterly [after his failure of denying Jesus], who returns to greater power than ever."

When our life is committed to our God and we bring our broken pieces to him for healing, we, too, become strong in the broken places.

   

"The Spirit of the Lord is upon me , because he has anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he has sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised."  - Jesus (Luke 4:18).

Our Lord Jesus Christ never turns away from a broken and crushed spirit. He will mend them, renew them and restore them! He will put back together and make you stronger in His joy and will calm all the brokenness that you have endured! Remember, our brokenness is a container for God’s Glory! Stay Calm, Trust Him and remain confident of this that you will see the Goodness of the Lord! Amen.
