"The proud have hidden a trap for me, and cords; They have spread a net by the wayside; They have set snares for me. Selah." - Psalm 140:5
It is scary when someone tries to trap us or when we are trapped under closed spaces, relationships, and so forth. Being in a trap is no fun. The enemy is always on the look to trap anybody. It may vary in many forms, shapes, and sizes.
One of the dangers of a trap is that they are unseen. They are hidden. There is no warning signs that would help us out. We don't see them and thus, we stumble and fall right into it. We are not prepared for that kind of fall for it pops on us suddenly.
Traps that we cause are:
The trap of caring too much what other people think. The trap of unwise words. The trap of taking a revenge. The trap of gossiping. The trap of not heeding to the truth of God's word. The trap of making bad choices. You get the gist of it...now maybe, you can make your own list of traps that you have set up.
Wouldn't it be nice if someone warns us about such traps before hand?
We are all here on this universe for a very short time. We don't know when our time is up and have to wrap things here on this earth!
But, guess what?
We are in luck because someone already prepared an instruction manual to read so that we will not be trapped in this worldly snares and traps.
The manual I am talking about is The Holy Bible.
Our instruction is to be prepared by reading, listening, repenting forgiving, obeying, praying and waiting on the word of God.
When we stop following the instructions of thIS manual we find we are not well prepared to handle those hard things that come along.
As the saying goes, “Forewarned is forearmed.” So let’s get forearmed.
Stay the course! The word of God is your weapon. Arm yourself! Traps that is set for us will be refuted and will not prosper. This is God's promise and truth.
"No weapon formed against you shall prosper, And every tongue which rises against you in judgment You shall condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, And their righteousness is from Me,” Says the Lord." - Isaiah 54:17
So invest your time in reading the word of God.
Invest in the small efforts that you make. The little you do to bless you and others goes a long way.
We must be confident in God's word so that what we do in our present will in some way impact our future.
"Do not be deceived: God is not mocked, for whatever one sows, that will he also reap. For the one who sows to his own flesh will from the flesh reap corruption, but the one who sows to the Spirit will from the Spirit reap eternal life." - Galatians 6:7-8
Therefore, don't fall into your own thought traps for God will heal you from it. And don't take revenge because God will vindicate your soul and bring justice to those who have wronged you.
Stay the course. God is beside you carrying you through from all kinds of deadly traps. God bless.
