Friday Blessings - Envy is destructive! 💚

"Do not let your heart envy sinners, but always be zealous for the fear of the Lord." —  Proverbs 23:17

Envy always destroys any good thing. It pursues against God's will, compares others and causes havoc in relationships. It is greedy and arrogant. It is hateful. Envy often involves not only a desire for something but also a demand that no one else should have it. And the sin of envy might tempt us to commit more sin in order to get what we want—to lie, cheat, steal, or even kill for it.

Envy is destructive!

It is far better to pursue doing things God’s way. When we live God’s way, our future will be secure, even if it doesn’t seem exciting or extravagant by the world’s standards. God is the one taking care of us and holding us together. It is best to be in His care with the little or big we have in life. His plans for each one of us is grand and perfect. We don't need to covet what others have.

The devil will cause temptation by bringing into attention what others have, instead of giving in and failing, be mindful, take your mind and heart captive towards the Lord. Focus on His mission and vision. Dwell on the truth of God's word that will last forever, because this world is only for a short moment and it is soon fleeting away.

Take courage my friend, God is with you in all the emotions you feel, He cares, He sees and He knows!

When the tempter comes, just hold onto Jesus. Don't waste your precious time, and space on the wicked tricks, that the enemy is waiting to deceive you with.

Today, go forth, with God kindness and charity in your heart. For God you are too precious to be lost in some silly envy game. Stand firm and be zealous for the fear of the Lord and continue to do all things that pleases Him. God bless.

Prayer:

Dear God,

Thank you for this beautiful day. I struggle with this sin, which is weighing heavy on me. Please heal me right away. I don't want to go through this burden. I want to live life the way you intent me to live. Bless me to help others who might be struggling the same. I pray your guidance and blessing over me. In Jesus name, Amen.
