Monday Blessings - God, I trust you. 💛

Today's Bible Reading Portion: Matthew 2

Read Matthew 2 Here --> ESV, KJV

Then Herod summoned the wise men secretly and ascertained from them what time the star had appeared. And he sent them to Bethlehem, saying, “Go and search diligently for the child, and when you have found him, bring me word, that I too may come and worship him.” - Matthew 2:7-8

King Herod is restless. If the Christ has really been born, Herod wants to find Him and kill Him to protect his own power. He has enough belief in God's prophecy to fear it from coming true, but not enough faith to trust God to do what is best for Israel.

Check this out: Herod plans out his purposeful cruelty with disguised hypocrisy: he had a murder in his heart, when he pretended to worship Christ with his mouth. Herod masks his intent to kill Christ, with a pretense to worship him. How craftily Herod lays his plot!

If you are a true follower of Christ, worldly Herod's will plan secretly to summon you to destroy any goodness that is present or to happen in the future. They will scheme, sneak, make up stories and get the scoop out to annihilate the Christ that is shining in you.

Be warned. Be Vigilant. Be sober. The enemy is waiting to slither through that empty space that is left opened because of  lack of prayer and word of God.

"Be sober [well balanced and self-disciplined], be alert and cautious at all times. That enemy of yours, the devil, prowls around like a roaring lion [fiercely hungry], seeking someone to devour." - I Peter 5:8

Note this: You have nothing to fear. Satan is full of pretense and lies. Satan can only prowl like a Lion. He is not a lion, He is nothing, nor can he be compared to the Lion of Judah we serve, who is Christ our King! God will annihilate all our enemies! When we step up and seek God's word sincerely and pray His will intentionally, we will see God's victorious hands in our lives.

Have faith in God. Don't fear on situations or people we cannot have any control off. Continue to keep trusting in Jesus, our Hope, our Messiah, our Savior, our king, our Redeemer and our Sovereign God.

God will avenge for us. All we got to do is, step aside, and let God do the battle for us!

We must continue to pray, praise, read the word of God and keep celebrating God's victories over our life. Be still in His presence and lean not on your own understanding, but keep trusting Jesus. Amen. God bless.

PRAYER:

Dear God,

Thank you for this wonderful day. I pray for discernment, wisdom and understanding from the schemes of this wicked world. Help me to trust you and not lean on my own understanding. Annihilate all battles and enemies seeking for my life. Fill me with your peace and guidance. I trust you. In Jesus name, Amen.

REFLECT: How is your heart when it comes to complete surrender to God? What are you harboring in your heart? Are you giving God your secret struggles?

Please  feel free to Comment below. Thanks. God bless.
