Thursday Blessings - Don't weep - your tears are seen by God! 💛

Today's Bible Reading Portion: Matthew 5

Read Matthew 5 Here --> ESVKJV

“Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted." - Matthew 5:4

The beatitudes of Jesus is one of the most beautiful sermons of all!

I am sure many of us have mourned over a loss of a loved one. It is hard, hurtful and painful. That kind of loss is inevitable.

But, there are other kind of sadness and hurt, which we cannot do anything about it too, like when those who you thought loved and enjoyed your company, suddenly ignore and betray you. It hurts real bad! We cry over it for days, maybe weeks, sometimes months and years too and may walk around with a load of bitterness and resentment towards them.

Honestly, this don't have to be the case.

First and foremost, We must understand that each one of us is fallen short of the glory of God. None of us is perfect. The subtle way others shun or ignore you is never your problem, that will be their own. It will bring them great suffering in the long run. You don't have to worry about it. You gotta get this straight, not everyone is gonna like you. Not everyone is gonna choose you, or get you, or have your back, nor is everyone gonna invite you. Not everyone is gonna claim you as their favorite, or their best friend. Not everyone is gonna trust you. Not everyone is gonna save you a seat, or tell you their secrets, or include you on every group text.

And it’s okay!!

Is it fun? No, but it is part of life.

And the sooner we learn that it’s not our job to please everyone, or chase everyone, or convince  them that we are worth liking, the better off we’ll be.

Be good to everyone. Don’t purposely give people a reason not to trust you, but save your energy for the ones who choose you, and lift you up, and make room for you at their table. Your energy, and your time and your heart are precious. It’s okay to protect them. And be sure to protect them in Christ. He is your solid rock. He is the one who saves us from such grievous feelings. Relationships must be a form of connection - A Christ-like connection and it should not be done out of fear. God sees you, knows you and he hears you. He will bless and comfort you in all aspects of life. He will lift you up in due season. Take courage and believe in the word of God. Don't bother and worry at all if someone treat you poorly. Just give it God and  move forward to do His will and plans for they are good. His plans for you is always to prosper and never to Harm. Keep trusting God today and forever more. God bless.

PRAYER:

Dear God,

Thank you for comforting and pouring in me your restoration in abundance. Thank you for seeing my tears and coming to my rescue. Thank you for wrapping me with your peace and joy. I love you Lord and I trust you. In Jesus name, Amen.

REFLECT: What are some things that God did in your life that you are grateful for?
