πŸ’› 🐝 The Bees Rescue Mission! 🐝 πŸ’›

Here is one fun fact about the Bees: Did you know? Nectar from about 2 million flowers makes one pound of honey! :)

It was a beautiful spring day in Brownsville, Texas. I skipped to my grandma's farmhouse, cheerfully. The air was bustling with the warmth of the sunshine, the buzzing of the bees and the gentle whispers of the butterflies. The smell of lilacs and roses whiffed all around the path. I reached my grandma's beautiful yellow cottage. The tiny almost invisible cat quietly ruffled between my legs and purred which made me jump. I called out to grandma. She called out to me to come to her beautiful backyard farm garden.

It is quiet enchanting entering the lush shades of green grass carpet in her backyard. You can see the sunny skies far beyond. All the colorful flowers were neatly arranged in a row. All her cows sat lazy chewing the curd on the other side of the meadow and her shepherd dog ran around keeping up with all the sheeps in a flock so they don't wander off.  Aha! I suddenly caught sight of my grandma in the far corner near the oak tree clothed in a large white bee suit in the middle of an urgent bee-usiness!

I grabbed a smaller bee suit from the barn shed and happily skipped to her side. she showed me the gallons of honey she got out but unfortunately, there were five  fragile bees squirming, stuck and drowning in a puddle of honey. She quickly and gently took them out and placed them on a wooden piece of a tree bark. She said the chances for them to survive maybe very slim.

I sadly asked if I could kill them quickly and put them out of their misery to which she responded, "No dear,  let's leave them there to their fate and go have some cake and tea. It has been a long day." We finished our little snack while grandma cleared out all the dishes I came out to see what happen to the sticky bees.

To my surprise there Lo and Behold, was more bees from the hive swarming around these almost dead sticky bees. I noticed that there was only two sticky bees left on that wooden bark. I watched them from a distance with my binoculars and saw that the other bees worked hard and patiently to take away all the murky honey that was stuck on them. In another couple minutes, the other two bees were also set free. The wooden bark was now empty.

"WOW!" I exclaimed!

I rushed back to tell all about it to my Grandma. She smiled and told me she knew the other bees would come to their rescue but was not sure if they would revive and survive.

She sat me down on her lap and with warm eyes told me that we must also, likewise, be like those helper bees by not giving up on each other. Especially, family members and loved ones. Refuse to let them drown in their own sticky mess and ugliness. Instead, step up and resolve to help until they could be set free. We must look out for each other. Be like the helper Bees rescuing community! Do you hear me my dear little sweet child?

I replied, 'Yes! Grandma!'

That evening, I skipped back to my home, my young seven year old heart revived to conquer, reach out and to help out to those who need it in my own little way.

Moral of the story: What a sweet blessing it is to reach out and help and share the love of God. It would heal the empty hearts longing for love, peace, joy, grace, favor and mercy. With everyone looking out for everyone else's interests more than their own, no one would be in need. This world would be a much better, peaceful and happier place to abide in.

“Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. Rather, in humility value others above yourselves, not looking to your own interests but each of you to the interests of the others.” - Philippians 2:3-4

Prayer:

Dear God,

Thank you for all the opportunity that you bring in my life to look out and to reach out for others. Help me to be discerning and to do what is necessary. I pray you bless me to do this with gentleness and grace. In Jesus name, Amen.

Please share to bless others too! Thank you!
