Alex and Danny, two best friends, who grew up in the same neighborhood, went to the same school, church, played basketball, and even did guitar lessons together. They always did everything together and enjoyed. Alex would even help out Danny with all his class and home-works too so they could both make the A grades. Both joined the same High School got excellent grades and made it to the most prestigious university. They couldn't believe their luck to be together. These boys were head to toe buddy buddies! |
Many envied their relationship until one day things began to waver. You see, Alex was a great catch with everyone around him. He was a true Christian who pleased the Lord. He was always ten steps ahead his friend, Danny. For most part Danny did not seem to mind this but he certainly made great efforts to keep up with Alex's charisma!
Until recently, a lovely young girl, Tes, from their college caught both the boy’s attention but like all the other times, Tes was drawn and charmed by Alex’s vibe and friendliness. They started dating and were going strong.
Soon, Danny lost his cool and envied his friend. He couldn't get over the fact that Alex was always one game ahead of him! Gradually, their friendship started dwindling.
Danny began to device a plan to bring his charming friend down. He went around making up false rumors to Tes, how Alex was also seeing someone else too, behind her back.
Alex couldn't understand why Tes stopped responding to his texts/calls. Danny continued to slowly ambush his friend's reputation by telling everyone in the campus how Alex cheated and made his way to the university! Many friends avoided Alex.
Alex felt saddened and prayed about it.
The next day, the Professor announced about an important test that was coming up lifting up the papers to show that he has already prepared the Q&A for the big day! Then the Professor asked everyone in class to form into small groups to do a group study for the big test. As the kids discussed, the professor excused himself to step out to get something from the teacher's lounge.
Danny took this opportunity to excuse himself to use the restroom. As the Professor left, he whisked the test papers from the desk and left to the restroom captured it on his phone. He came back to class and quickly without anyone noticing placed the test papers into Alex's backpack.
Soon the professor was back and in a few moments realized that the test sheets were missing. He was upset and did a thorough search! Alex was immediately sent off to the Dean’s office and got suspended for a week.
After, a week, the test results came out and guess who Aced it? Alex was greatly surprised and also slightly suspicious about Danny Acing the grade. He strode to the Dean’s office to plead if he could take the test, but sadly his requests were denied.
Alex returned to class greatly discouraged and saddened to miss out on a major test. Tear drops slid, his heart ached and he silently prayed. That's when he noticed, the cameras, on top four corners of the room! He rushed to the Dean’s office pleaded to check the camera's in the class. The rest was history!
Alex, was greatly astonished and disappointed to learn this about his childhood best buddy, which terribly broke his heart. Danny seemed like a good guy but sadly he chose to betray their friendship by letting his thoughts to wander to scheme wickedly to ruin the precious relationship they had forever! Tes and Alex, got back together because Danny confessed the truth. In the end, the University board committee decided to dismiss Danny from their University for good!

It will surely come around to haunt us. Therefore, be sober! Be vigilant! Be wise, be honest, Keep the integrity and be doers of the word of God!
