“For God did not give us a spirit of timidity, but a spirit of power, of love and of self-discipline.” - 2 Timothy 1:7
Paul calls young Timothy to follow his example of fearlessness in suffering and faithfulness in ministry in this Bible verse. If you are young and feel inadequate please listen to the word of God and His calling over your life. Do not let anyone hinder what God has called you to do.
Have a God-attitude and mindset and let the Holy Spirit be your guide and lead. Instead of fear, the Spirit gives us “power.” It brings order to our scattered lives, awakens new desires to resist sin and to please God, and helps us to think and act with sobriety and wisdom.
Believers of Jesus Christ must remember that God has graciously given us his Holy Spirit, who makes us fearless in troubled times, works his power in our weakness, stirs in us genuine love for our neighbors and even our enemies, and gives us self-control to live as God’s holy people. Praise God!
Prayer:
Dear God,
Thank you for the spirit of your power, love and self-discipline. I will not fear no evil because you are with me your rod and your staff they comfort me. I celebrate because of your unconditional love over me. Thank you for your new mercies, grace and favor each new day. In Jesus name, Amen.
