"With your help I can advance against a troop; with my God I can scale a wall." — Psalm 18:29
It is sometimes hard to go through life feeling miserable and rejected as if grief is just waiting around the corner to swallow you up. It is sometimes difficult to make efforts and move forward. Life can bring feelings of sadness and hardship knocking you down. Everyone goes through this in their lifetime at least once and sometimes many. They hit a wall and cant' see beyond it. Sometimes these walls are self-made and sometimes it comes through other people and situations. Many professionals and artists and dreamers go through this misery too of hitting a wall they want to accomplish big things but this wall slows them down and it also slows us down who want to achieve higher and larger than life things.
In this Psalms, David knew that with God’s help, there was nothing he could not do. He could go against a whole troop of enemy or he could scale a wall that was in front of him. David was a warrior who with God’s help, led many successful battles against local enemies who often raided and harassed God’s people. God provided help, resources, and protection, and David knew he could do nothing without God’s constant care. So even while climbing a wall in battle, he could say, “God is with me.”
When a person hits a wall there is three things that he/she can do. Stop and change directions. Go around the wall. Or scale and go over the wall. Most people stop and change directions, giving up what they wanted to do but did you know God is with you wherever you are, in whatever you are doing? Whether you are scaling a giant rock wall or driving along a road, whether you are working, playing, resting, or sleeping, God surrounds you and guides you. When we are aware of all this, we can also sing along with David: “The Lord lives! Praise be to my Rock! Exalted be God my Savior!”
We don't have to sit back afraid thinking to change directions. Whatever plan you have place it to God and ask His will on it and He will give you perfect directions to move forward and will guide you in His righteous path. His peace will loom over you and with God beside you, you will advance any troop and will scale a wall. He will accomplish His desires over you and your desires will be fulfilled when you delight in Him completely. God bless.

Dear God,
In my weakest moments you are by my side and when I was powerless and weary you send Jesus to rescue my soul. With you on my side I can advance against a troop. With you I can scale a wall. Your presence is enough. Thank you. In Jesus name, Amen.
