"Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things." - Philippians 4:8 ESV
The enemy has ways to use people or situations in our lives to divert our attention. If we let it, the hurt we experience can take up residence in our hearts and minds, distracting us from fulfilling our God-given purpose.
This why God says in Philippians 4:8 to think on things that are true, honorable, just, pure, lovely, commendable, excellence and things that are worthy of praise. When we focus on the good of people and situations things change for the better. It takes away the doubts and burdens of shouldering what other people do to us or think about us. Even while experiencing tortures situations, God is with us. He is El-roi the God who sees us. We have to rest in Him all that we carry so He can carry it for us. Trials are inevitable the Bible tells us to not be surprised when they come our way but, instead, rejoice when we experience them because those trials make us more like Jesus. He gives us the most perfect example to follow. I pray today when fiery trials comes in your life you will think the best about the situations and cast it all to Jesus. God bless.
