Dear Lord God,
Let me love you above all things, Above all people, Let my heart seek you first as you are life - you are love. Let me not demand from anyone what you alone can give me. Eternal confidence and peace come from you alone. let me not ask anyone to grant me the promises that come only from your Grace. Let my heart understand that in loving you first I can love others more. For those that hunger and thirst have nothing left to give. Fill me with your spirit, make my inner life abundant, so I can love as you love, giving my life and asking nothing in return. Even though I failed and sinned you called out to me; your goodness drew me in, let me love you first, oh Lord above all other things. In Jesus name, I pray, Amen.
