Here are 5 ways to have a more meaningful quiet time with God:

2. Unplug from every kind of technology: This is not very easy in our time and age but it is good to step away from anything that is distracting us from the Lord. Make it a point to wake up early in the morning before the sunrises and take an hour to have your quiet time to pray, read a devotion, read the word and listen to God speaking to you from His word. Worship and Give thanks for everything this is a good start for your day. It will keep you focused in God and your goals for the day. Distractions is bound to happen but persevere towards the eternal goals.

3. Hide the word of God in your heart: This is important. Hide the word of God so that you will not stray away or sit in a pit hole thinking about something that is not worth it. Think about His promises in your life and you will see your days filled with love, Joy, peace and righteousness.

4. Listen quietly and Journal: During your quiet time it is so very important to listen to the word of God as your read, check what He is speaking through it, journal it. Later when you come back to read your journals you will experience the tiny miracles that God has been speaking to you.

5. Break the routine and bring it outside: Quiet times with the Lord doesn't have to be in your room alone. You can do it in your kitchen space or your dinning table or the best place you find. Also, you can take your Bible, the devotion you are reading and your journal somewhere outside where it is calm and there you can reflect His love towards you. Basically, where ever you are enjoy your time with the Lord. Nothing should ever come in between you and Him.

"For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord." - Romans 8:38-39
