How many plagues did God send on Egypt? - BIBLE QUIZ

ANSWER: Ten (Exodus 7:14-12:30).

ENCOURAGING WORD:

Experience the Power of God
Not only did God save Israel from the Egyptians, He also destroyed the enemy of His people. Over the years, many people have tried to explain what happened at the Red Sea. They have tried to lessen God's involvement by saying the horses of Pharaoh's army got stuck in the mud of a shallow body of water and could not catch the fleeing Israelites.

But the truth is this: Pharaoh's army was washed away. The hand of God defeated them—not thick mud or a drifting waterspout.

“[God] made the wheels of their chariots come off so that they had difficulty driving. And the Egyptians said, ‘Let's get away from the Israelites! The Lord is fighting for them against Egypt.’ Moses stretched out his hand over the sea, and at daybreak the sea went back to its place. The Egyptians were fleeing toward it, and the Lord swept them into the sea. The water flowed back and covered the chariots and horsemen -- the entire army of Pharaoh that had followed the Israelites into the sea. Not one of them survived” (Exodus 14:25, 27-28).

When we place our trust in God, He will fight our battles for us. Remember that Pharaoh made a choice not to listen to the Word of the Lord. The nation of Egypt suffered through a list of plagues without making a choice to obey the Lord. Any one of us can have a touch of Pharaoh in our lives. This is why it is crucial to our spiritual growth to keep our hearts set on God and not on man.

If you sense the Lord leading you, be sure that you follow. Do not harden your heart, but freely give yourself to God and He will guide you into a broad place of ministry and service. His power is yours to experience when you surrender your life to Him.

Prayer: Our Loving Heavenly Father,
Please forgive me for any hardheartedness I have. I surrender my life to you. May Your Spirit lead and guide me into all Truth. Thank you for hearing and answering my prayer. Gratefully, In Jesus Loving Name I Pray, Amen.
