O Lord , where are you?
O dear Lord, did you leave me?
O my Lord my God, why aren’t things happening for me?
God seemed lost. His help seemed distant. His loving hand, removed.
Help me, Lord!
Everything I wanted, wasn’t showing up. Everything I needed, didn’t seem to be happening. Everything that I figured good, was far from me.
I went to the bathroom and balled my eyes out.
Not knowing what to do, I did the only thing ever left to do – when you don’t know what to do: I opened God’s Word, expecting Him to teach me, lead me and restore me.
He did. These few Bible verses restored my heart, peace l, joy and soul! I believe they will change yours too:
But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you. Matthew 6:33 đź’ś
The Lord does not let the righteous go hungry, but he thwarts the craving of the wicked. Proverbs 10:3 đź’ś
He who did not spare his own Son but gave him up for us all, how will he not also with him graciously give us all things? - Romans 8:32 đź’ś
Therefore I tell you, do not be anxious about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink, nor about your body, what you will put on. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothing? Look at the birds of the air: they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. But according to his promise we are waiting for new heavens and a new earth in which righteousness dwells.
