When you feel like nothing more than a disappointment, I encourage you to meditate on the peace and assurance found in Scripture. These five Bible verses will get you started:
2 Thessalonians 3:16
May the Lord himself, who is our source of peace, give you peace at all times and in every way. The Lord be with you all.
Hebrews 10:35-36
Do not lose your courage, then, because it brings with it a great reward. You need to be patient, in order to do the will of God and receive what he promises.Ephesians 3:12
In union with Christ and through our faith in him we have the boldness to go into God's presence with all confidence.
Hebrews 4:16
Let us have confidence, then, and approach God's throne, where there is grace. There we will receive mercy and find grace to help us just when we need it.
Psalm 13:5
I rely on your constant love; I will be glad, because you will rescue me.
Proverbs 24:16a The godly may trip seven times, but they will get up again.
Proverbs 24:16a The godly may trip seven times, but they will get up again.
Psalm 37:23-24 The Lord directs the steps of the godly. He delights in every detail of their lives. Though they stumble, they will never fall, for the Lord holds them by the hand.
Psalm 73:26 My health may fail, and my spirit may grow weak, but God remains the strength of my heart; he is mine forever.
Don't let failure be the final word in your story. Failure is not fatal. Nor is it defining. You are not a failure. You're not. You're an overcomer. No matter how many times you have missed the mark, or how great the fall, failure is not your destination. So pick yourself up and let these thoughts from the word of God get you back on course! God bless! Amen!
