Here, the Psalmist invites us to taste and see God's goodness. Many times we are somewhat hesitant to accept His invitation. As kids, we enjoy eating junk food and losing the appetite for LIVING BREAD as we run around munching on it.(In John 6:48-51, Jesus said, I am the bread of life. 49 Your fathers ate the manna in the wilderness, and they died. 50 This is the bread that comes down from heaven, so that one may eat of it and not die. 51 I am the living bread that came down from heaven. If anyone eats of this bread, he will live forever. And the bread that I will give for the life of the world is my flesh.”). We wouldn't touch it unless it was presented in a fun and exciting way. Religion's "dos" and "don'ts" have left a bitter taste for some. They no longer reach out to the Bread of Life. As a result, we become malnourished and miss out on God's blessings.
David, the man after God's own heart, faced the same challenges you and I do. Having lost a child, experiencing an attack from an enemy, and committing sin, he knew the agony and guilt of the experience. Despite this, he did not waver in his faith in God. David saw God's hand protecting, comforting, correcting, and guiding him during his troubles. The blessings he saw are what led him to say, "Blessed is the man who trusts in Him."
Yes we are blessed with everything We need. We are working hard towards everything We want. And most of all we are grateful to the Lord the maker of Heavens and earth for pouring out His kindness and lavishing is with His love. He has highly favored us and loved us with every last drop of blood.
Yes you are precious!
Yes you are valuable!
Yes you are worth it!
Yes the Lord loves you!
Yes the Lord has great and might plans for your life!
Yes you are a big deal to Him!
Yes the Lord will always be there for you!
Yes He will be your provider!
Yes He will protect you from harms way!
Yes He will take care of every need.
Trust Him at all times. Talk to Him and Pray about everything.
Yes Jesus is enough!
Yes His Grace is sufficient always.
He is with you!
He is your guide!
Yes You are Blessed! Favored! And loved! Amen!
