You maybe making a mad rush to work as usual or maybe you are sitting down and having a quiet time sipping your favorite hot drink savoring the peace and quiet of the day or maybe you are somewhere hurting and crying alone or maybe yet you are in a full house of crazies going nuts. Either way, the good thing is you are still alive and getting to do the normal or unusual things of the day.
I bet, you must have wondered an umpteen number of times of what is the point of all this? why the rush, the crazy, the tears, the joy, the hurt, the excitement, the confusions, and also wonder why you are sitting alone in the calmness of the day and crying it all out, feeling left out and all alone. Every time you scroll down the social media it looks like others are having a great time.
These are the thoughts going through your head that may look like - "She is looking lovely in that cute dress." "He has got great muscles." "wow! she got a new house." "she is so happy with him, ugh sucha snob!" and "He got a new BMW." "Oh how nice they have another baby." "Oh look, who knew, she got married."
While others are blessed and having a good time and life is easy on them, here I am staring into a sinking hole wondering what I am doing with life. No where to go, no one to share with. Always busy with work or other chores. Seriously, life stinks, when we have no friends to share with and family is crazy they don't get you at all and the spouse is busied up with work and kids are all over the place doing random stuff or nothing much else is going on. Nothing you thought and planned worked out. Yes, it is a huge feeling of disappointment.
And thus we allow Hopelessness to slowly sneak in.
Trusting God can feel hard when our life doesn't match with how we planned it out to be.
But you see, we are not alone in this!
If you look at the scriptures and take few of the people in there, looks like, there life didn't go the way they planned it out either, Come along, let's go take a look at their lives together:
Adam and Eve had no clue they were going to be kicked out of Eden forever --- But GOD had a plan of redemption even before Adam and eve were kicked out.
Abel had a wonderful bright future out there but he had no idea he was going to be killed -- But GOD had a plan.
It was not Noah's plan to built an ark He had no clue why he was wasting so much time building an ark --- But GOD had a plan to rescue Noah and his family and made a covenant of promise with him.
Abraham had no clue He was going to leave his father's home and go far away to a place where God called him to be. He did not think he was going to go childless for a long time, which got him muddled up when His wife, Sarah, asked him to sleep with his servant maid, Hagar, who bore a son, Ishmael, and later Sarah, His wife, got jealous and threw Hagar out with her child faraway. Abraham and Sarah did not think He would have a baby through Sarah. Later, He had no clue he was suppose to obey God and proceed with the plan to almost sacrifice His only son, Issac -- But in all this God had a plan and He remained Faithful.
Issac had no clue who Rebecca was, yet they got married -- But God had a plan, there was a 2 nations wrestling in their womb - Esau and Jacob.
Fun loving Joseph never planned to be in a dungeon or in the King's court --- But God had a plan for placing him in each of those positions.
Baby Moses had no choice to plan, he was just set on a little basket to sail down the nile rivers --- But God had a plan.
Mighty Joshua had no clue how he was going to bring down a powerful territory like Canaan - But GOD had a plan.
Rahab, the harlot, never thought she would be rescued from selling herself around but because of her faith in the God of the Israelites and to rescue Israelites spies from Jericho -- God planned to give her redemption.
The Jewish Orphan girl Esther never in her wildest dream thought she would be the queen -- But GOD had a plan.
Naomi had so much hopes of building a beautiful family when she left with her husband to Moab from the poverty of Bethlehem. But she did not plan to be a widow and lose her 2 sons forever too soon. - But God had a plan.
Ruth thought her life was over after her husband died and never did she plan that someone would remarry a Moabite girl. She couldn't believe that she met her Boaz. And Boaz had no clue how he got set up with such a match -- But God had a plan.
JOB thought because He was such a perfect and righteous man before God did not expect he would fall into such sad and terrible times --- But God had a plan.
Daniel never planned to have such good restful sleep with the lions in the den. -- But God had a plan.
Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego had no clue they would be thrown into the fires and come out alive -- But God had a plan.
Jonah never in his wildest dream did he ever think to stay 3 days and 3 nights in the belly of a Big fish -- But God had a plan.
Priest Zechariah and Elizabeth never in their life did they plan to name their son, JOHN! - But God had a plan.
Mary never planned to be pregnant while she was a virgin and as an unmarried girl - But God had a plan.
Joseph was a respected and righteous man and never in His wildest dream did he think he was going to marry a pregnant woman, he wanted to quietly dismiss her - But God had other plans he did not allow Joseph to dismiss Mary. (Good going, i guess, *chuckles*:))
Sweet Lord Jesus, did not plan to be born in a manger but there was no choice. As a young man he could have freely enjoyed good days on earth but no He chose to live for the plans of His heavenly father and die for all our sins, he wished and prayed to take that painful cup of death away from him but it was not His choice. It was God's plan and will that Jesus died for us. And Jesus obeyed.
Now you see my friends, these people mentioned in the bible, nothing they planned came to pass. God had a plan for them. He worked it good for all those who loved and obeyed HIM.
Likewise, He has a good plan and a bright future for you my dear sweet friend. Sometimes God gives us signs that He is at work, but we don’t need signs to confirm the truth of who God is and His work in our lives. The very essence of our faith is believing in what we cannot see. Rest assured, sweet friend. God hears us. God sees us. God will respond mercifully to us. And He often does His most powerful work in the unseen places. Praise God!
There is always hope in God When our father and mother forsake us, the Lord taketh us up. He will not leave us nor forsake us. So the psalmist ends his complaint by throwing himself into the arms of the Divine mercy, and unreservedly submitting himself to God's will. So do not be weary and be discouraged, but put your Hope and Faith in Him alone and the rest He will do. God is always at work for you and He is continuously building yours, so rest assured in Jesus and keep fixing your eyes upon Him.
You see, God have a plan. His plans are always the best. Rest assured. He is always at work. He never sleeps nor slumbers. His eyes are watching and protecting you. He’s enough. His grace is more than sufficient. Trust him my dear dear sweet friend. :)
Let's Pray, shall we?
Dear God,
In a world of hopelessness, Help me to take courage that you are right by me and working things out for my life. Bless me to always think of thinks that you like and love. I pray I rejoice in you continuously as I wait in hope for all that you are doing for me. I rest assured in you care my Lord and I know I am safe with you. Thank you for listening to me. You are enough for me my Lord. Your grace is sufficient. I love you and I trust you. In Jesus name, Amen.
Bible Verse of the day:
"But now, Lord, what do I look for? My hope is in you. - Psalm 39:7
I pray this message blessed you. Have hope in the Lord. When we set our minds on the things of God, we will have direct and immediate access to the peace of God. So today, rest assured that God Himself is enough for you. Be blessed, stay safe and enjoy a wonderful day. :)
