- After Sarah died, Abraham took another wife, whose name was Keturah. Genesis 25:1 (ESV), through her he had six sons (6).
- However, Isaac was the only son Abraham was promised and through whom Abraham would become the father of many nations. In Genesis 22:2, He said, “Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you.”
