Let's Begin this First Sunday of AUGUST with a Prayer 🙏❤️

"Some trust in chariots and some in horses, but we trust in the name of the LORD our God." - Psalm 20:7

Horses are one of the most fascinating creatures that God created. They are swift and a beauty to behold. Horses play a prominent role in the Bible as sources of transportation, a symbol of wealth, prophesies, character, used for war, companion animals and also as royal gifts. They are reliable, strong, incredible and majestic creatures.

The general idea behind this Psalms Of David is expressing the fullest confidence in God and showing the true ground of reliance.

And not on horses, however, strong and reliable these beautiful creatures are. They who trusted in horses and in chariots would be overcome; it don't matter how strong your horses are, or how many of them you have.

Likewise, it don't matter how much wealth, property, beauty and fame you posses, only they who trust in God alone would triumph.

Yes, that's right, we must trust our Lord God. We must remember the name of the Lord our God - That is, we will give great effort to remember God in our day to day lives. We must not forget that our reliance is not on temporary armies, politicians, grand administrations, our communities, families or the riches we have here on this earth, but on God, the one true Living God alone.

Whatever instrumentality we may employ, we must always direct our focus to remember that our hope is in God, and that only He can give success to our arms and on anything we do. Otherwise, we just work in vain and will keep going in circles.

Keep God your number one priority. Wake up early to experience the love of Jesus and to share your heart with Him. Your only strength comes from Him. He is the only one who will answer when you call on Him.

Therefore, do not waste time trusting in non-permanent things of this world. It will only be a snare in the end. Be Smart, trust Jesus, make Godly decisions and seek wise counsel from the Lord. Only this will endure till the end. Keep focused on Jesus, my friend. Have a great day. God bless.

Prayer:

Dear God,

I praise you for waking me up. Thank you for your tender mercies. I pray I trust you alone and not on anything I gather up on this perishing world. Keep me focused on your will and bless me to bring glory to you. Let my foot not slip. Keep me in the path of righteousness. In Jesus name, Amen.
