What a wonderful season it is? A season to be Joyful, Peace on earth and goodwill to mankind. Fun and Merriment goes hand in hand. Christmas trees are decorated and lights are blinking everywhere. Stores are busy. Dad's busy wrapping up the gifts and managing to keep the bank accounts running and going. Mama's busy preparing all the fine dishes. Desserts are plentiful. Kids waiting for the holidays. Everyone is in the mood to share, give, love and to be kind. What wonderful festivities? Sounds so good. right?
Its so interesting everyone talks about the coming Christmas, leaving out the most important person , Jesus Christ.
Its funny how the world hustles about this season but ashamed to proclaim the reason why He was born. But, then if you think about it, we as Christians too are all subtle in some or many ways, we all fall into that same flow, moving with all the distractions of this world, getting excited with whoever is getting excited with.
It's time, sweet friend, to stop following the crowd.
We are forgetting that Jesus is the reason for this season. He came to give us peace and died for our sins. Mankind is so full of what's the next thing and striving for the next thing and its just rush, rush, rush, all the hour.
They are not easily satisfied. Its always we need more. We gotta be more. We have to have more. We do more. Prepare more. Its always more and more and more.
And, sadly, the end result is always, more complaining, more grumbling, more temptation, more greed, more hate, and this cycle keeps repeating. We start it with but always end up miserable because we are still not satisfied.
Its like the story of, Martha and Mary, were, Mary sought only one thing, that is to be at the feet of Jesus, while Martha, was getting everything prepared and was also complaining about her sister, Mary, who was not helping her with the house chores.
Was it a legit complaint? YES! It was a legit complain. Are you kidding me? When guests are coming home, of course we all need a helping hand.
But, Jesus was disappointed with Martha, not because she was preparing, but because of a complaining spirit. Jesus was glad that Mary chose to sit at His feet while He was still among them.
Question to Ponder:
Who are you more like, Martha or Mary? Are you constantly trying to find approval in this world or are you at the feet of Jesus?
Is there a divine peace in everything you do or say, or is it always stressed out, and complaining?
Is your heart being prepared for Jesus's coming?
Yea, I know, the answers to these questions sometimes may disappoint us, they are hard, and it takes constant work and God's grace to enjoy that wonderful intimate relationship with Jesus so that we can be in His will and with Him forever.
Do you know why we have to take time to be at the feet of JESUS? 🌹
🌹 He loves and needs you everyday at His feet.
🌹 He loves to talk to you.
🌹 He is desiring to unwrap all that burden and fill you with His amazing peace.
🌹 He enjoys to have your presence with Him. He seeks for your company.
🌹 He loves to see you be joyful in Him.
🌹 He cares about you much.
🌹He is concerned when you don't go to Him and share about what's bothering you.
🌹 He loves to listen to all the details of your life.
🌹 He cherishes you much.
🌹 He is constantly protecting you sweet friend.
🌹 You are so precious and so valuable for Him.
🌹 You mean the world to Him.
🌹 Just go to Jesus, He will hug you, with His love, hope, peace and joy.
🌹 He will fill you with the fruit of the spirit, and you will be able to walk in His will and plans.
So my dear sweet friend, this Christmas season, let's focus more on Christ and His peace. He came to give us love, peace and joy in this turmoiled world. Even if circumstances, are unfavorable, His peace surpasses all understanding. When we seek Him wholeheartedly His peace will wrap us up. Be tuned with Him and let His sweet friendship Hug you toady. Merry Christmas. The beauty of Christmas is Christ Himself.
Let's Pray, shall we?
Dear God,
Thank you for coming and taking my place to die for my sins. You have been so kind and good to me. I want to live a life of obedience to You. Make me an instrument of Your peace. Teach me to love even my enemies. Give me the strength to wage peace when what I really want to do is wage war. Today, I choose to surrender my stubborn will to You. I lay down my emotional weapons and choose peace. Be glorified in my relationships, Father. Thank you for your peace that surpasses all understanding. I love you and I trust you Lord. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
Bible Verse of the Day:
Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid. - John 14:27
I pray this message blessed you. May the peace of the Lord be with you all the time today and forever. Enjoy! Keep Christ Jesus your focus not only for this Christmas but always. Stay blessed and encouraged. :)
