"Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest." - Matthew 11:28
A Spirit-filled life does not guarantee a trouble-free earthly life. What God does promise is that He will support you through these trials, and He will not give you more than you can bear. If your day was especially hectic or exhausting, this verse reminds you that Jesus is helping you, even though you might not realize it. Just come to Him. He will take care of all your needs. He will be your guide and lead you to His good plans over your life. Take rest in His care and protection. May He be your peace and confidence.
Prayer:
Dear God,
Thank you for your rest. In every calm and storm you are my God in whom I take refuge. You are my delight and my confidence. I pray your will be done in my life. In Jesus name, Amen.
