“The Lord is my Shepherd, I shall lack nothing." - Psalm 23:1
The Lord is my shepherd: David thought about God, the God of Israel; as he thought about his relationship with God, he made the analogy of a shepherd and his sheep. God was like a shepherd to David, and David was like a sheep to God.
Likewise, you are God's sheep and He is your Shepherd. He is your love and comfort. He bears all things for you. He is near. Your confidence must be to believe that He is with you. His presence is by you. He is the source of protection and strength. With Him you are never alone and abandoned. He will crust the enemy. fill you with His peace and set you free. He is the one who leads and restores. He is the giver of life and packs you with every good things.
David knew this in a personal sense. He could say, “my shepherd.” God was a real, a personal shepherd for David himself.
Today, I pray you make Him your personal Shepherd too because He is sure to clean all the messy parts that creeped and was etched in your life without reason, will guide you and make a special place for you in heaven with Him. You belong to Him. Therefore, lay down and rest your mind and heart in His peace, tonight. God bless.
Prayer:
Dear God,
Thank you for Tonight. You are my healer and my protector. I will always rest knowing that I will never lack because you are my Shepherd and you will lead me into everlasting life. In Jesus name, Amen.
