Read Matthew 8 Here --> ESV, KJV
"And when he got into the boat, his disciples followed him. And behold, there arose a great storm on the sea, so that the boat was being swamped by the waves; but he was asleep. And they went and woke him, saying, “Save us, Lord; we are perishing.” And he said to them, “Why are you afraid, O you of little faith?” Then he rose and rebuked the winds and the sea, and there was a great calm. And the men marveled, saying, “What sort of man is this, that even winds and sea obey him?” - Matthew 8:23-27
The one thing that God is saying based on today's reading is that we need to have faith and trust in Him, no matter what our circumstances is. He is in control and He is the God of the impossible.
Every detail of our life matters to God. He is the God of the big troubles as well as the small. We need to lean onto Him. We serve a mighty God, the wind, the storms, the demons, and the sickness - all must bow to Jesus!
May we never lose the wonder of our great and mighty Savior, the way-maker, miracle-worker, and the Promise Keeper. He has the last say in our lives. He is in our boat of life and He will guide us through all the storms. We must have faith and trust in Him. Don't fret and fear, He is near us. Be still and know that He is God Almighty! Praise God!
PRAYER:
Dear God,
Thank you for being in my boat and taking care of all the violent storms in my life. I am glad all the elements of this world and each one of us will bow down to your name! In Jesus name, Amen.
